My friend, I’m sure you’ve heard the latest buzz around the NFL and their regulations around concussions – are they getting soft on the rules? I’ll start off by saying that while I can understand why some people call the NFL “soft,” I strongly believe there’s nothing soft about the concussion regulations they’ve put in place.
Sure, some people may say, “It’s just a bunch of overblown precautionary measures,” or that the measures “aren’t necessary,” but can we really take that chance when entertaining one of the most dangerous sports out there? After all, no amount of money or glory justifies risking someone’s brain health and wellness.
Take the whole hullabaloo that kicked off a couple of years back with J.J. Watt, for cheap nfl jerseys instance. He was being reprimanded for a celebratory move that basically involved slamming the ball down onto his own head… Twice! If that isn’t enough proof for cheap jerseys people to see why these rules are important, then I don’t know what is.
That brings me to the current hot-button issue: the use of a mouth guard with sensors that alert team personnel and officials about a potential head injury. There’s been a lot of talk and a lot of controversy surrounding these little pieces of technology, but that’s no surprise. Anytime something new is about to shake up the status quo, wholesale jerseys there’s bound to be a crowd of people who don’t believe it should take place.
As a fan of the game, I think this is a great, wholesale jerseys great thing. It shows that the NFL cares about the safety of their players and that their top priority is to ensure everyone’s health and cheap nfl jerseys wellbeing. This isn’t the same league from thirty years ago where “getting back in the game” with a head injury was standard protocol. It’s a brave new world, wholesale nfl jerseys and I’m excited to see more and wholesale nfl jerseys from china more teams adopt these protocols and cheap jerseys find safer ways to play the game.
On the opposite side of the coin, there are fans who argue that this is all making the game soft. That these regulations are making the game less intense and more “sterilized” than it used to be. I won’t lie – while it can be difficult to watch the game when so many of these precautions have to be taken, I’d much rather watch a tamer, more controlled game than watch someone get seriously injured for the sake of entertainment.
So, is the NFL getting soft with the concussion rules? I don’t think so. For me, the NFL’s measures are a step in the right direction, cheap nfl jerseys jerseys and I’m sure that they’ll continue to find more ways to keep all the players safe out there on the field.
